Food and Beverage Server
General Description
Food and Beverage server will be responsible for maintaining and servicing tables. Taking customer orders; delivering food, and providing full customer service. Other duties include side-work, stocking and cleaning of dining areas, and bathrooms.
KEY Functions
- Operate as a server; take orders from customers via, table service, bar service, or telephone
- Responsible for all money taken in and following company procedures for cashing out and doing proper cash drop
- Responsible for reporting cash tips to manager, credit card tips are automatically totaled
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area: complete routine cleaning duties and general opening/closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering customer queries, telephone orders, special requests, etc. Must be knowledgeable of menu items and pricing, have general knowledge of resort layout, amenities & services
- Adhere to all state (DHEC) and company standards related to the safe preparation, storage and handling of all food items
- Maintain a clean and inviting dining area, clearing tables, emptying trash, stocking condiments and paper supplies, sweeping and mopping, cleaning windows and restrooms as needed
- Adhere to all company and department policies and procedures and regulations
- Complete any other assigned duties and tasks
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- The ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff members
- Ability to be self-motivated
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally
- Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and lift/carry weights of up to fifty pounds
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma supplemented by work experience
