General Maintenance Technician
OVERVIEW
Aids in maintaining overall working operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel while providing four star service. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
KEY Functions
- Responsible for handling all guest service maintenance calls
- Aids in keeping all buildings and grounds well maintained and safe including but not limited to: exterior of the buildings, parking lots, and common areas; responsible for maintaining all equipment in guest rooms
- Performs preventive maintenance for resort amenities
- Assists in the administration of Security and Risk Management of the property through inspections, investigations, training, and enforcement of standards. Conducts monthly safety inspections and training the staff on safety and emergency procedures
- Communicates a safe work environment to the staff
- Performs other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, holidays and in the event of an emergency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, climb, balance and perform manual labor. Must be able to lift/carry weights of up to seventy-five pounds
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid South Carolina driver's license is required
