Pool Tech
OVERVIEW
Aids in maintaining overall working operation of the pool areas and the appearance and working order of the hotel while providing four star service.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for handling all pool service maintenance calls
- Will be responsible for inspecting the pools for Health Dept Compliance of Operational and Safety concerns
- Will be responsible for the daily; weekly and monthly maintenance of the pools and for completing the pool technicians log and checklists
- Will be responsible for checking the water Chemistry Levels and offering advice on how to correct these parameters to comply with SMB Operational Standards
- Will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing repairs, or directing these needs to the appropriate vendors, either via the Service Desk Requests, or via their own observations
- Will be responsible for checking equipment and chemical inventories, and informing the Pool Manager of any restocking needs
- Will be responsible for providing necessary information in regards to renovation or annual maintenance needs
- Assists in the administration of Security and Risk Management of the property through inspections, investigations, training, and enforcement of standards. Conducts monthly safety inspections and training the staff on safety and emergency procedures
- Communicates a safe work environment to the staff
- Performs other duties as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, climb, balance and perform manual labor
- Physical activity is a large part of this position
- Must be able to lift/carry weights of up to seventy-five pounds
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, holidays and in the event of an emergency any hours required
- The ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid South Carolina driver's license is required
