Introduction

Personal Employability Profile

This Feedback Report was produced as a result of the on-line Personal Employability Profile (PEP) assessment that you recently completed and provides an inventory of your views about your current skills and abilities in ten different skill areas:
  • Computer Literacy
  • Positive Attitude
  • Self-Marketing
  • Verbal Communication
  • Active Learning
  • Information Gathering
  • Problem Solving
  • Resourcefulness
  • Personal Initiative
  • Self-Management
Please note that the findings in this report reflect your current viewpoint and also your confidence levels at this time. If you are having difficulties either at work or in your personal life at the moment, the skill levels indicated in the report may be lower than you expect. As with any assessment, it can be helpful to discuss the Feedback Report with someone you know and trust.

This report provides a brief thumbnail sketch for each of the ten skill areas as well as suggestions for personal skills development.

From an employer's viewpoint, the skills and abilities in this report are "employability" skills and highly valued in today's workplace. They are also "transferable" skills that you take with you in to every situation you encounter in your life and your work.

From your own point of view, this profile reflects your current "survivability skills". These are the skills you need to be resilient in the face of change; the skills you need to survive and thrive in your personal and working life.

Some people believe that resilience is a matter of attitude and attitude is of vital importance. But surviving and thriving in a competitive and rapidly changing world demands other skills as well. You need to be well informed and keen to learn. You need to listen and communicate well and be resourceful and creative when problems arise. You need to manage yourself and the way you respond to different situations.

Skill development is and on-going process. By taking action on some of the suggestions for development in this report and beginning to build your personal employability, your confidence and overall survivability will grow.

We hope you find the Personal Employability Profile helpful in some way.
