Personal Employability Profile

Employers assess your "employability" based on your technical & academic skills, your interpersonal and team skills, and the ways in which you're likely to apply these skills in their particular workplace.

From a personal perspective, employability has a slightly different flavor. Do you have what it takes to find work, keep it, to shift career gears when necessary? Do you work well with people, be they customers, co-workers or bosses? Do you feel competent when using computer technology? Are you willing to become better informed and apply yourself to learning what you need to learn to move ahead? Do you use your own initiative? Can you be resourceful when life becomes complicated? Do you manage your life well?

Skills as these enhance your Personal Employability and are transferable to any and all workplaces.

This assessment provides an inventory of your current perspective of your effectiveness in ten areas of competence related to personal employability:
  • Computer literacy
  • Positive attitude
  • Self-marketing
  • Communication
  • Active learning
  • Information gathering
  • Resourcefulness
  • Problem solving
  • Initiative
  • Self -management
The Personal Employability Profile takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. It results in an 11 page PEP Feedback Report with numerous, specific suggestions for skill improvement and a section for action planning.
