Inside Sales Representative
CURRENT OPENINGS AT OUR SCARBOROUGH LOCATION
Objective:
To make outbound sales calls to our new or existing corporate clientele base across North America with the objective of maintaining, closing sales, growing and reactivating accounts. We require candidates who are interested in pure sales, who are aggressive closers. This is not a service position.
Reporting:
This position reports directly to the Team Sales Manager and an indirect report to the Sales Director and HR Manager.
Experience and Background:
This position requires familiarity with the US and its business environment. Awareness of current affairs in North America is also of importance. Strong closing skills are a must for this position. Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Accurate keyboarding and computer literacy is also required. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, with an expectation of overtime hours during the busy season (April to June and September to December).
Education:
Minimum requirements: High School Education or equivalent along with computer literacy including on-line database entry.

Job Effort:
Each sales representative is provided with a data base of accounts with specific potential value and opportunity for a range of sales lift. The potential value of the assigned account is reflected in their individual budget. Reps are assigned to sales programs and teams based on their abilities. The minimum job expectation is to maintain company standards based on the specific sales program. A general guideline is: 25 dials per hour, talk time of 45% of productive and net sales quotas based on program.
Physical Demands:
Work in an open-concept call centre environment. Work at a computer workstation from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm and make outbound sales calls by manually dialing 84 to 100 dials a day. Must be able to wear telephone headset and sit at a desk for extended period.
Compensation:
Compensation consists of a base rate (which varies depending on the sales program to which you are assigned) plus commission. During the first 3 probationary months, this position provides a minimum hourly rate guarantee of $16 per hour plus eligibility for other sales related incentives. Thereafter, the hourly guarantee rate is $14/hr plus eligibility for other sales related incentives. Base plus commissions on net sales is paid out on a bi-weekly basis.
