Activity Ambassador Supervisor
OVERVIEW
The Activity Ambassador Supervisor assists the Recreation Director in providing group and individual activities for the guests. Duties will involve personal contact with a varying guest population and a varied work schedule that may include some weekends, evenings, and holidays. Tasks also will involve record keeping, attention to the environment, use of supplies and equipment, and maintenance of storage areas.
KEY Functions
- Participate in games and activities
- Prepare materials for daily activities
- Maintain records of attendance, arrival times, and departure times
- Maintain supervision of children at all times
- Maintain a clean activity area
- Performs routine clerical duties as required, including typing reports and correspondence, preparing mail, copying and filing documents, faxing information, collating materials, etc.
- Operates a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, postage machine, calculator, fax machine, copier, telephone, etc.
- Interacts and communicates with immediate supervisor, co-workers, potential clients, clients, and the general public
- Supervising the ongoing activities while on property
- Assisting the Activities Director in scheduling activities
- Giving feedback on the effectiveness of the activity
- Assisting the Activities Director in keeping an up to date inventory of all items needed for activities
- Reporting any problems with guests or staff immediately to the Activities Director
- Assisting other Activity Ambassadors with activities
- Assisting other Activity Ambassadors with collecting money and keeping a count of how many participants each activity has
- Assisting the Activities Director with scheduling Ambassadors in accordance with the activity schedule
- Giving the Activities Director feedback on the job performance of other Ambassadors
- You would also be required to run some activities and participate in the activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead a group and group interactions
- Ability to work independently and follow a schedule of activities
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Above average computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Above average customer service skills
- Good time management skills, ability to prioritize
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Must be able to stand on feet and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to be active and participate in group activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by experience
