Food Prep
Statement of Job
Under regular supervision, prepares and cooks food for customers in accordance with established policies, procedures, schedules and standards of quality and safety. Performs related work as required. Report daily to the Executive Chef.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides oversight and assistance to pantry in preparation and end-quality of product
- Makes sure all products are garnished according to Chef standards
- Oversees and assists in all banquet, luncheon and meeting meals
- Control quality and quantity in all aspects of pantry areas
- Prepares all food according to Chef standards
- Takes all measures to prevent food waste
- Upkeep of cooler, including rotation of all product
- Upkeep of salad and hot bars
- Operates a clean work place
- Enforces daily preparation work of all pantry employees
- Maintains close contact with Chef on pantry work area
- Interacts and communicates with immediate supervisor, co-workers and customers
- Operates a variety of equipment & instruments such as convection oven, flatiron and rock grill, steamers, mixers, food processor, meat slicer, fryers, knives, scales and various kitchen/serving utensils and supplies. Exercises care and safety in the use of all equipment and utensils
