Shop Manager

The Shop Manager oversees and is accountable for the customer service level, daily operations, profitability and quality control of the shop.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Ensuring each customer has a positive experience
Making sure all employees receive proper training in product knowledge, sales, customer service and customer relations
Managing costs of goods and labor to maintain shop profitability
Implementing appropriate safety procedures
Requirements:
Commitment to excellence at all levels of service
Enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic
Automotive and retail experience (minimum two years or comparable management experience)
Great interpersonal skills and upbeat personality
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid state driver's license
Ability to perform basic financial calculations

Fluid Services Technician

The Fluid Services Technician is responsible for all fluid services including oil change, transmission, differential, cooling system maintenance and additional services (e.g. wiper blades, air filters, etc.). He/she communicates with customers, educating them on necessary preventive vehicle maintenance. Additional duties may include courtesy services, and tire repair and replacement services.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Performing preventive maintenance on fluid services equipment
Explaining SpeeDee programs, services and pricing structure in order to achieve high customer satisfaction and increased revenues
Attending training sessions that are applicable to the career path and position requirements
Following appropriate safety procedures and notifying the Shop Manager of safety hazards or needed equipment repairs

Services Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for all tune-up, diagnostic and repair services, as well as additional services as directed by the Shop Manager or Assistant Shop Manager.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Ensuring equipment is functioning properly at all times and performing preventive equipment maintenance
Filling in staffing voids, as directed by customer flow, and assisting in oil change bays when necessary
Maintaining shop supply inventory and notifying the Shop Manager of reorders as needed
Developing trusting customer relationships through honest and competent service
Requirements:
Commitment to excellence at all levels of service
Advanced automotive experience
A.S.E. Certification in Engine Performance, Engine Repair and Brakes (preferred)
Good communication skills and upbeat personality
Enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic
Clean and neat appearance
Valid state driver's license

Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining good customer relations and accurately completing service paperwork.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Explaining services and pricing in order to achieve high customer satisfaction, which can lead to increased revenues
Gathering technical information from the Shop Manager or Service Technicians in response to customer questions
Presenting all promotional materials to customers
Maintaining marketing programs, including reminder cards and notices, as directed by the Shop Manager
Requirements:

Cashier

The Cashier is responsible to establish and maintain good customer relations and to accurately complete paperwork required to track and service customers. Performs other duties not directly stated below, as instructed by either the Manager or Assistant Manager.

Bills out the customer
Obtains any technical information from manager or tune-up technicians in response to questions from customers

Shop Operations
Maintains spotless customer service/office area
Maintains customer restroom
Answers telephone in an approved manner
Greets and writes up work orders for customers when business trends dictate the need
Conforms to the standards and procedures prescribed by the Midas SpeeDee Franchise Organization Daily Operations Manual and other manuals
Maintains appointment scheduler
Technical
Attends all training sessions provided, applicable to his/her career and position requirements
Completes and maintains work orders in a systematic way
Maintains operations of office computer system and daily cash receipts
