It’s time we reintroduce ourselves. 

More than 40 years ago, Self Management Group was founded to help select, develop and retain top performers.

A lot has changed since then.

Increased competition for high-quality candidates is elevating the role of talent acquisition into a new strategic competence. Talent acquisition professionals are now expected to offer a point of view on how a company’s people impact the bottom line and how to guide the organization’s approach to talent in lockstep with its strategy.  These pressures have only made the Self Management Group’s role, mission and vision more relevant and timely.

A new brand for a new era.  As the world of talent acquisition continues to reinvent itself and evolve, so too are we. 

 

We’re excited to launch a refreshed brand that reflects the modern and sophisticated nature of our world-class tools, technology and insights.  In transitioning from Self Management Group to SMG, we’re signaling the importance of validated insights into employee competencies not just for self management, but as the foundation for tools and assessment resources used throughout the end-to-end employee lifecycle – from screening, selection, and onboarding to training, development, succession in role and beyond.

What’s in a logo?

The wing in our new logo puts the Golden Eagle front and center. Golden Eagles soar high above the crowd just as your top performers do.  The three feathers in the wing converging into one represents our ability to help you zero in on the best candidates based on validated insights.Our new logo and brand identity introduce a refreshed color palette.   We once again sought to draw on clean and modern tones found in nature (and in our beloved Golden Eagle!).We’re excited to extend this new visual brand identity to the full suite of SMG products and services including TalentNest and PLUS.

 

What hasn’t changed?

While our brand’s visual identity may be new, our focus remains fixed.  As your integrated talent partner, our tools, technology and insights drive talent productivity.  We pride ourselves in serving as a proactive extension of your team, helping you target and hire top talent, develop your leaders, and build highly effective teams. We remain committed to helping organizations develop a new narrative around selection, supporting talent acquisition leaders and their teams with change management, and gaining buy-in to a data-driven selection process.
